Giving Tuesday: 6 Ways to Get Involved With Soroptimist

Giving Tuesday will be here before we know it! But there’s no need to wait. Now is the perfect time to start thinking about how to get involved in this global day of giving.

  1. Peer-to-Peer Fundraising: Ask family and friends to support a cause that is dear to you. Creating a Facebook fundraiser for Soroptimist only takes a minute! Don’t have social media? You can still start a fundraiser!

  1. Donate: Make Soroptimist your charity of choice with a gift that will provide women and girls with opportunities for a brighter future. Help us raise $25,000 by 2025 to empower 2,500 women through the Live Your Dream Awards. Thanks to a generous matching gift from Ann Rutledge (SI/Fort Collins, CO) and Best Access Doors, your donation will go twice as far! Donate for dreams here!

  2. Corporate Matching: Check if your employer offers a matching gift program to make your gift go even further.

  3. Spread the Word: Share Soroptimist’s Giving Tuesday campaign on social media. Encourage your network to get involved.

  4. Share A Story: We love to hear from members about your impact. Fill out the Share Your Story form—you might just get featured in an upcoming blog, newsletter or social post.

  5. Give Thanks: Celebrate the spirit of giving by recognizing everyone who helps make our work possible. Send a handwritten note or make a phone call to thank members, donors, sponsors, grantors, and community partners for all they do.

With just a couple weeks until December 3, your involvement and generosity can help Soroptimist impact more women and girls. Your support is vital because women and girls still face tremendous barriers to empowerment everywhere. But we know that every woman and girl has the power within her to thrive if given the chance. Let’s turn that potential into reality and unlock the door to opportunity for women and girls this giving season!
